Dear Friends of Akira Foundation,
We would like to inform that Akira Foundation dissolved on February 2, 2016 (approved by Tokyo Legal Affairs Bureau on July 7, 2016).
On behalf of the Board of Directors and the staff of the foundation, I would like to thank you for your past business. It was truly a pleasure working with each one of you as a co-creator. Most of all, we are truly grateful for your continued support and kindness throughout these past seven years. Thank you very much again. We wish you the very best on all that lies ahead.

On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, the World Summit of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (WSIE) will be held in New York City in May, and as a strategic partner for WSIE, Akira Foundation calls for social innovators and entrepreneurs to join.
WSIE was launched at United Nations in 2006. Supported by three UN agencies including UNDP along with International Chamber of Commerce, African Union, and multinationals like PepsiCo, Boeing, CNBC, and Microsoft, the first WSIE took place at the historic city of Muscat, Oman, and has been held every other year with over 70 countries attended.
Held on May 17-19, 2016 at United Nations Headquarters, WSIE on “New Frontiers” will showcase “a bold and provocative exploration of what the future of business, market spaces, digital, products, minds, machines, experiences and trans-disciplinary innovations will be like in 2020 with one clear message: Head there.”
