MaD (Make a Difference) 2013, to be held in Hong Kong

As one of the International and Regional Supporting Organizations, Akira Foundation is happy to announce that the MaD (Make a Difference) 2013 will be held in Hong Kong on 25-27 January in 2013.

The MaD Forum is an intense 2.5-day event that brings together international changemakers and about 1,200 aspiring young people from Hong Kong, Mainland China and other parts of Asia. Through thematic dialogue sessions (talks followed by moderated discussion), interactive activities and other 2.0 activities, the young attendees are inspired by the changemakers’ stories and vision, and are motivated to kick start real changes.

Thanks to our sponsors, we are now able to support Asian young changemakers to participate in MaD 2013. You can apply and have a chance to receive subsidy (including airfare and free admission), come to Hong Kong and join MaD 2013 from 25 to 27 January. About the MaD:
Founded in 2010, MaD (Make a Difference) is an initiative to inspire and empower young people (aged 16 to 35) to be the change. Evolving around 3 key themes – discovery, creativity and impact, it is a continual project to groom a creative, compassionate and collaborative young generation, supporting them to create change at different levels.

About the organizer:
Hong Kong Institute of Contemporary Culture (HKICC) is a non-profit non-government organization founded in Hong Kong for promoting a creative civil society and sustainable cultural pluralism. Its Hon Chief Executive is Ada WONG.
